This article summarises the latest enhancements, new features, and updates to the Ideagen SafetyStratus platform.

2024 Q2
Inspections and Observations
- Implemented a new search field option to filter questions on the “questions screen” during inspections.
- Implemented a new 'Resolved - Yes/No' filter in SAM Detail Summary Reports.
- Implemented new Inspection summary reports that display templates, number of inspections, safe responses, corrective actions, open actions, closed actions, and their respective severities. Also added an option 'Questions' button to show all Inspection Template Questions along with safe responses, total actions, open actions, closed actions, and action severities.
- In SAM Summary Reports, the 'Template' column in the Questions List Table has been renamed to ‘Questions'.
- In the Inspectors Summary, decimal values for Safe and Unsafe results are now rounded.
Incident Management
- For the Incidents Module, following updates have been implemented to enhance digital accessibility:
- Keyboard and Screen Reader Access: All action elements are now accessible via keyboard navigation and screen readers.
- Color Contrast Compliance: Ensured adherence to color contrast ratio standards.
- Focus Order: Updated the focus order to support logical navigation.
- Keyboard Shortcuts: Created various shortcuts to boost efficiency for keyboard users.
- ARIA Roles and States: Added appropriate ARIA roles and states to improve context for assistive technologies.
- Accessibility Colors Settings: Implemented options under Edit Settings > Labels, including "Enable Accessibility Colors" and "Enable Monochrome Colors," to display accessibility colors when activated.
- Device-Dependent Event Handlers: Updated event handlers to better accommodate keyboard users.
- Enhanced the search filters on the open and closed incident tables for collection questions. These filters now feature multi-select options populated with unique choices from each corresponding collection question, allowing users to select one or more options from each dropdown menu to filter incidents. A 'Reset' option has been added to clear all selected filters and display the complete list of incidents.
- Implemented filtering for users assigned to incident module form sections on both the open and closed incident tabs, and included this information in the data table.
- The "Finish" button label in incident forms is now configurable. A new setting, 'Finish Button Label,' has been added under Edit Incidents > Incident Settings. The value set here will be used as the label for the finish button on end-user incident forms.
- As part of our digital accessibility enhancements, we have updated the date picker format in the incidents filter to align with the format used in the form.
- As part of our digital accessibility improvements, we addressed duplicate IDs on incident forms to ensure users can navigate questions accurately.
Chemical Inventory and SDS
- We have added two new fields, 'Static' and 'Static Container Count', to mark containers as static.
- We are offering a dropdown menu to configure the label size option for barcode printing under the Chemical inventory setting tab.
- We have updated the Requisitions process for all Requisitions with static barcode IDs should be routed to CMS for screening and approval.
- We are providing a new Status field to update the container status if CMS receives the status from a requisition/line sent in FMS.
- We provided an import option to update the SS-master compound data under the Import Data tab.
- We have aggregated the chemical inventory expiration notifications, so now users will receive emails with aggregated information about chemicals instead of individual emails.
- We have updated the chemical inventory exports to include NFPA hazard data along with ratings.
- We have added a setting in the Chemical Inventory Settings to show/hide the Volume Mass (Standard Unit) column.
Compliance Calendar
- A warning pop-up now appears with two buttons, “Proceed” and “Go Back,” when editing events and assignments in the Edit Calendar. Clicking “Proceed” continues the edit, while “Go Back” returns to the “Edit Form” view.
- Added a "Manage Task" action link when viewing tasks in the calendar. This link redirects to Corrective Actions > Tasks > Manage, allowing users to view and manage the specific task directly from the calendar.
Dashboards and Analytics
- Implemented a spinner to indicate loading when the [Apply Filters] and [Clear Filters] buttons are pressed in the dashboard tabs.
- We have updated and reduced the filter options, KPIs, and charts in the In-app Incident Dashboard.
Permit Authorizations
- Enhanced the "Autofill Reference" feature for user dropdown selections on forms to automatically populate department, organization, and supervisor information for the selected user.
- Updated the 'Dropdown' field type on permit forms to allow searching by both first name and last name.
Data Manager
- Added an "Export All Incident Data" button in the Data Manager > Export section, along with an additional checkbox in Edit Incidents > Display Fields to select which fields to export.
