Delivering radioactive material orders as an administrator

Administrators who deliver radioactive material orders and confirm them into inventory.

This article explains how administrators deliver radioactive material packages to principal investigators and how principal investigators confirm delivered items into their radioactive materials inventory.
1. Admin delivering the order to the PI
Administrators deliver packages by navigating to Data Manager, selecting Orders, and opening the Packages tab. From here, they select the deliver package icon to open the package delivery form.
In the package delivery form, administrators set:
- Delivery date
- Principal investigator receiving the package
- Storage location where the isotope will be stored
Administrators can edit package details before delivery by selecting the gear icon under data manager, orders, packages, and edit.
2. PI confirming delivered orders into RAM inventory
The final step in the workflow is for the principal investigator or an authorized user to confirm the delivered inventory into their radioactive materials inventory.
The principal investigator navigates to their radioactive materials inventory and selects the confirm order icon. Once confirmed, the isotope is formally added to their inventory.
By default, system administrators and principal investigators can confirm deliveries.
To allow roster members to confirm deliveries on behalf of a principal investigator, administrators can enable the setting under edit settings, rad, allow roster members to confirm delivery.
