Who is this article for?

Users and system administrators who need to view or record radiation surveys for radioactive material inventory items.

No elevated permissions are required to view surveys; only system administrators can create new survey entries.

This article explains how users access survey history for radioactive material inventory and how system administrators create new survey records, including configuration of survey types and instruments.

1. Survey history view

The survey history view is available to both general users and system administrators. Users can review all survey records associated with a radioactive material inventory item.

2. Creating a new survey (system admin only)

Only system administrators can add new survey records. From the radioactive materials inventory, select the survey action (magnifying glass icon), then choose New survey and enter the required information.

• Survey date
• Surveyor
• Reading type
  • Configured under edit settings, rad, radiation survey types.
• Instrument
  • Configured under edit settings, rad, radiation instruments.
• Value
• Value unit

Multiple readings can be added using Add another reading. To remove an in‑progress reading, select the red trash icon.

Note: Survey data can be exported using the export buttons at the top of the Survey History window.
