Configuring Zebra printer settings for container labels

Users who need to configure a Zebra printer.
Administrator role is required.
The SafetyStratus Chemical Management System (CMS) supports Zebra Label Printers for printing barcodes and container labels directly from your chemical inventory, streamlining container labelling for faster tracking, regulatory compliance, and consistent reporting across your organisation.
1. Printing a container label
To generate a barcode label for a specific container without leaving the Chemical Inventory interface, follow these steps:
- Open Chemical Inventory, use default view or search and filter to locate your container.
- Click the ellipses menu, next to the container.
- Select Create Label.
A printable barcode label will be generated based on your configuration settings.

Note: SafetyStratus does not supply Zebra printers or provide direct hardware support. Contact Zebra Technical Support for setup or troubleshooting.
Zebra Browser Print must be installed on any computer directly connected to the printer.

3. Configuring admin settings
To customise how labels look and what information they display, follow these steps:
- Go to Edit Settings.
- Select Chemical Inventory.
| Setting | Description |
| Label Size | Set width and height in inches to match label stock (recommended: 1.5" W × 1.0" H). |
| ZPL Profile | Choose printer resolution (203dpi or 300dpi) — must match your printer's specifications. |
| Show Product Name | Display the container's product name at the top of the label. |
| Show Receipt Date | Display the container's receipt date at the bottom of the label. |
| Show Hazard Pictograms | Add hazard icons from the chemical profile for quick visual identification. |
