Using LATCH files
Who is this article for?
Users who need to use LATCH files.
Administrator role is required.
The Files tab is a shared library where your lab can store important documents such as standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety data sheets (SDS), personal protective equipment (PPE) manuals, and other safety-related files.
1. Uploading a new file
To upload a new file, follow these steps:
- Click Add New File.
- Enter a Category (for example, SOP, SDS, Manual).
- Enter a Description of the file.
- Select the PI's name.
- Choose whether the file should be Private (visible only to the PI and admins) or accessible to all roster members.
- Click Attach File to browse for your file.
- Click Add to upload it.
2. Managing uploaded files
Once uploaded, files can be edited (pencil icon), deleted (trash icon), or viewed and downloaded (download icon) by any user on the roster, unless the file is marked as Private.
