Managing corrective actions

Users who need to use Corrective Actions.
Administrator role is required.
Corrective actions can be managed by inspectors and general users, with different levels of access and functionality depending on the user role.
1. Understanding the inspector view
Inspectors can manage assigned corrective actions and those they have delegated. The inspector view provides four tabs for organizing and managing corrective actions:
- Open Actions: Lists all active corrective actions. Inspectors can manage actions, view the originating report, or re-notify the responsible user
- Actions by Inspections: Shows inspections containing corrective actions accessible to the inspector. Manage all actions within a specific inspection or notify responsible users
- Recently Closed: Displays actions marked as completed. Inspectors can review comments and view the originating report
- Extension Requests: Inspectors can approve or deny extension requests for corrective actions (if configured)
2. Managing corrective actions as an inspector
To manage a corrective action, follow these steps:
- Click the Manage Corrective Action folder icon.
- View corrective action details and attached images.
- Add comments to record conversation history.
- Attach supporting files or documents.
- Re-assign the action to another user (if enabled).
- Extend the due date (if enabled).
- Complete the action to close it.
3. Understanding the general user view
General users see only corrective actions assigned to them. The general user view provides four tabs for managing their assigned corrective actions:
- Open Actions: Lists all active corrective actions assigned to the user. Manage actions or view the originating report
- Actions by Inspection: Highlights inspections containing corrective actions for the user. Manage actions per inspection or view reports
- Recently Closed: Shows all actions completed by the user
- Extension Requests: Tracks pending extension requests made by the user
4. Managing corrective actions as a general user
To manage a corrective action, follow these steps:
- Click the Manage folder icon.
- View details of the inspected object and originating question.
- Review the due date.
- View attached images from the inspection.
- Add comments for tracking discussion.
- Attach supporting files or documents.
- Re-assign the action to another user.
- Extend the due date (request requires approval).
- Complete the action to close it.
