Using reporting and analytics

Users who need to use Reporting and Analytics.
Administrator role is required.
Inspection data generates operational insights that can be viewed, exported, and analysed through the platform, providing visibility and accountability across inspection programmes.
1. Accessing inspection reports
Inspection reports are available for completed inspections and can be viewed in different formats based on your needs.
To access inspection reports, follow these steps:
- Navigate to Completed Inspections.
- Use the tabs to organise inspections by object type.
- Apply filters at the top of the page to locate specific reports.
You can choose between two report views:
- Simple View: Highlights corrective actions and key findings
- Full View: Displays every question and recorded response, including corrective actions
Note: The view selection also determines how exported reports appear.
2. Navigating and sharing reports
To navigate between reports and share them with other users, follow these steps:
- Use the dropdown menu to switch between accessible inspections.
- Select the report you want to forward.
- Forward the report directly to other users.
3. Using the image browser
The image browser provides a centralised library of inspection images for quick visual review.
To search for images, follow these steps:
- Access the Image Browser.
- Apply filters by object type, location, organisation, question origin, or other criteria.
- Review the filtered images.
4. Viewing summary reports
Summary reports provide structured table-based summaries that identify trends and performance metrics, including completed and open inspections and total corrective actions.
To filter summary reports, follow these steps:
- Select your filtering criteria from inspection type, template, location, organisation, department, or date range.
- Apply the filters to refine the data.
- Click on any row in the table to drill down into detailed data sets.
5. Tracking inspector metrics
Inspector metrics allow you to track individual inspector performance, including total inspections conducted and corrective actions issued.
To view inspector metrics, follow these steps:
- Access the Inspector Metrics section.
- Filter by inspection type, status, organisation, department, or specific inspector.
- Review the performance data displayed.
6. Reviewing SAM inspection reports
Safety Assurance Management (SAM) inspection reports include observation counts, safe versus unsafe observations, and severity breakdowns.
The SAM Detail Report exports comprehensive datasets including:
- Questions
- Severity levels
- Comments
- Images
- Completion status
- Metadata
7. Using dashboards
Dashboards provide visual analytics including numerical metrics, pie charts, bar graphs, and drill-down capabilities. Separate tabs are available for corrective actions and SAM inspection analytics.
To refine dashboard outputs, follow these steps:
- Access the Dashboards section.
- Apply filters by inspection type, template, object type, location, organisation, or inspector.
- Review the filtered analytics.
8. Creating custom dashboards
Custom dashboards allow you to create layouts with filtered criteria to highlight key performance indicators (KPIs).
To create a custom dashboard, follow these steps:
- Access the dashboard creation tool.
- Select your filtered criteria to highlight specific KPIs.
- Configure the layout and visualisations.
- Save the dashboard.
- Share the dashboard externally via secure, no-login links if required.
9. Setting up automated reporting
Automated reporting ensures stakeholders receive consistent updates without manual effort by scheduling reports for inspection summaries, corrective actions, or custom filtered datasets.
To schedule automated reports, follow these steps:
- Access the Automated Reporting settings.
- Define the data to be included in the report.
- Specify the recipients.
- Set the delivery schedule.
- Configure email notifications.
- Save the automated report settings.
