Managing events as a user

The Compliance Calendar actions vary by event type. Each task includes different options for documentation, reassignment, or closure.
This article explains the available options for each event type.
1. Managing an event
To manage an event:
- Navigate to the Compliance Calendar.
- Click an event in a grid/list.
- Click Manage Event.
- Choose an action.
2. Available actions
2.1. Compliance events
Created from Program Builder, these represent recurring compliance tasks.
Available actions:
- Comment - Add notes with author and timestamp.
- Photo - Attach supporting documentation (e.g., inspection checklists or equipment images).
- Complete - Mark the event as finished and log the completion date.
Example
Academia - A lab safety officer might complete a Quarterly Fume Hood Certification and upload verification photos.
2.2. Corrective actions
Issued when an inspection identifies a deficiency, usually with a fixed timeline.
Available actions:
- Comment - Add clarifications or progress updates.
- Photo - Upload evidence of corrective action (e.g., repaired equipment).
- Reassign (if enabled) - Assign to another responsible user.
- Extend (if enabled) - Request more time to complete.
- Complete - Mark the issue as resolved.
Example
Construction - Replace damaged guardrails. Academia: Relabel expired chemicals.
2.3. Pending inspections
Recurring inspections scheduled for inspectors.
Available action:
- Start Inspection - Opens the inspection setup page.
Examples
Manufacturing - A manufacturing safety officer might start a monthly machine safety audit directly from the calendar.

Assigned courses or learning modules.
Available action:
- Launch Training - Click the provided link to access training content.
Example
Industry - Teams can launch annual evacuation training modules directly from the Compliance Calendar.
2.5. Incident tasks
Generated from submitted incident forms and function like corrective actions.
Available actions:
- Comment - Add details or clarifications.
- Photo - Attach evidence (e.g., incident scene images).
- Reassign (if enabled) - Assign to another user.
- Extend (if enabled) - Request deadline extensions.
- Complete - Close the task once resolved.
