Subprograms help further break down broad compliance areas, making them easier to monitor and manage.

This article explains how you can create a new subprogram.

1. Adding a subprogram

To add a new subprogram:

1. Navigate to the Program Builder.
2. Switch to the Sub Program tab.
3. Click + Subprogram.
4. Select a Program Name from the dropdown list.
   This is the parent program the new subprogram will belong to.
5. Enter a Sub Program Name.
6. Choose a Status.
   Setting a subprogram to active enables it and allows additional frameworks and events to be built out.

Changing or disabling a subprogram affects everything linked to it, so setting a subprogram to Inactive will also halt all scheduled events tied to it.
