Configuring framework notifications
Who is this article for?
Administrators responsible for framework management.
Administrator role is required.
Framework-level notifications cascade to all compliance events created under that framework. They can supplement or override the default reminders configured at the subprogram level.
These notifications are particularly valuable for scheduling routine compliance tasks across entire programs.
This article shows you how to set these notifications up.
1. Accessing notifications
To access notification settings:
- Go to the Program Builder.
- Switch to the Framework tab.
- Click Notifications (Bell icon).
You will be taken to a list of all notifications currently set up for the selected framework.
Changes at the framework level apply to all current and future events created under that framework. Always review notification frequency and timing before saving changes to avoid impacting hundreds of events and users across the organisation.
If your team relies on subprogram defaults, use framework notifications for exceptions or global updates (e.g., new regulatory timelines).
2. Configuring notifications
You can configure multiple notifications per framework for layered reminders.
Example
Email notification sent out 14 days before the due date.
SMS notification sent out two days before the due date.
Email notification sent out two days after the due date to follow-up on overdue tasks.
2.1. Email
To configure an email notification:
- Click + Email.
- Enter a Subject Line.
- Add Message Text.
- Define Notification Preference.
You can return the value to 0 by clicking Reset. - Set the Status to Active.
- Click Save.
Keep subject lines short so they display well on mobile and in inbox previews.
2.2. SMS
Users must have a valid phone number listed in their profile to receive SMS notifications.
To configure an SMS notification:
- Click + SMS.
- Add Message Text.
- Define Notification Preference.
You can return the value to 0 by clicking Reset. - Set the Status to Active.
- Click Save.
SMS is best for high-urgency or field-based work where email may be missed. Keep messages under 160 characters.
3. Reverting to default notifications
To revert to default notifications set at subprogram level, click Switch to Default. This will reset the framework notifications, removing the override.
