Setting a low inventory limit

Low inventory limits help maintain uninterrupted operations by sending automatic alerts when a chemical’s stock drops below a set threshold.
This article explains where you can set a low inventory limit per container.
1. Setting a limit
To set a low inventory limit:
- Go to Chemical Inventory.
- Locate the container.
- Open the Actions menu.
- Select Limit.
- Enter the Low Inventory Limit.
- Choose a Unit.
- Click Submit.
Once the Principal Investigator’s total quantity for that compound meets or falls below the set threshold, the system will email an alert listing all low-limit compounds for that PI.
