Configuring chemical disposal admin settings

Administrators responsible for system configuration.
Administrator role is required.
The system provides several configurable options that allow you to fine-tune each disposal path.
This article goes over them in more detail to help you set up robust workflows.
1. Admin configuration
To configure admin settings:
- Open Administration.
- Select Edit Settings.
- Choose Chemical Inventory.
Here, you can configure the following settings.
1.1. Disposal Approval Confirmation Message
Available options:
- Show - Displays a confirmation message to the approving/rejecting administrator before entering a comment.
- Hide - Removes the confirmation message, leaving only the optional comment box at the Accept/Reject step.
- Customisation - The text of the message can be edited under Disposal Approval Confirmation Text.
1.2. Disposal Approval/Rejection Comments
Available options:
- Show - Adds an optional comment field for the administrator when approving or rejecting a disposal request. This adds an extra step before finalising the action.
- Hide - Removes the comment box so the approval or rejection can be finalised immediately.
1.3. Attachment Field (Dispose Request Form)
Available options:
- Required - The system will enforce an attachment upload (such as a disposal form) before the workflow can proceed.
- Optional - The workflow can proceed without an attachment.
1.4. Waste Requisition ID (Dispose Request Form)
Available options:
- Required - The system must pull a Waste Requisition ID from the external waste management system before processing.
- Optional - The disposal workflow can continue without the ID.
1.5. ChemWatch SDS Link Integration
Available options:
- Show - Enable direct ChemWatch SDS URL lookups.
- Hide - Disable direct ChemWatch SDS URL lookups.
1.6. WMS Requisition Text
Communicates with the external waste management system.
Available options:
- Customisation - The text of the message can be edited under WMS Requisition Text.
1.7. Waste API Disposal Path
Associates a disposal pathway with an external waste management system (WMS).
Available options:
- Select Disposal Path - Enagbles approval or rejection of container disposals through the WMS.
This is a client-specific feature that integrates with external systems.
