The Waste API button allows users to generate a waste requisition by communicating with a third-party waste management system. This feature is client-specific and is designed to streamline the process of assigning a Waste Requisition ID to selected containers.

This article explains where to enable access to it.

1. Enabling Waste API button

To enable the Waste API button:

1. Open Administration.
2. Select Edit Settings.
3. Click Chemical Inventory.
4. Set Show Waste API Button to True.

Once enabled, the button will appear under certain conditions in the main Chemical Inventory interface.

Ensure that the integration between the Chemical Management System (CMS) and the third-party waste management system is tested before enabling this feature for end users.
