Generating a QR code for room-level hazard reports

QR code labels allow you to generate a scannable code that links directly to a chemical inventory hazard report. This report provides a list of all hazards associated with the chemicals stored within a specific room, and it can be accessed without requiring a login.
This article explains how you can generate a share code for hazard reports.
1. Generating a code
To generate a QR code:
- Open Administration.
- Select Data Manager.
- Switch to the Room tab.
- Click Room.
This will take you to the room details page.
- Click QR Code.
You can export, download, or print the generated QR code for placement in the appropriate space.
When someone scans the QR code, they will be taken to a a chemical hazard report that lists all hazards associated with the chemicals stored in that specific room.

Academia - Lab managers can post QR codes outside teaching labs so students and EH&S staff can quickly identify hazards in the room before entry.
Manufacturing - Supervisors can scan QR codes on the production floor to confirm hazards associated with nearby chemicals.
Construction - Safety officers can place QR labels on mobile chemical storage units for quick hazard verification.
Industry - EHS auditors can review hazard information during inspections without needing direct access to the CMS.
QR codes provide read-only hazard data. While this improves accessibility, only post them in secure or controlled areas to prevent unauthorised individuals from accessing sensitive hazard information.
