Configuring automated email notifications

Administrators responsible for managing testing.
Administrator role is required.
Notifications let you keep Chemical Owners informed when testing or expiration deadlines are approaching or overdue.
This article walks you through the process of configuring these alerts.
1. Configuring notifications
To configure email notifications:
- Open Administration.
- Select Edit Settings.
- Go to Chemical Inventory.
- Set Schedule Chemical Inventory TSC Notifications to Yes.
- Set TSC Testing/Expire Notification After values.
- Set Schedule Chemical Inventory Expiration Notifications to Yes.
- Customise First, Second, and Third Reminder.
- Click Save Days.
2. Understanding settings

| Schedule Chemical Inventory TSC Notifications | Send automatic notifications for time-sensitive chemicals with expiration dates. |
| Time-Sensitive Chemical Testing Notification After | Days after a missed test before sending a notification. |
| Time-Sensitive Chemical Expire Notification After | Days after the expiration date to send a notification. |
| Schedule Chemical Inventory Expiration Notifications | Up to three alerts can be scheduled and each can be given a value to determine when they go out relative to the expiration of the chemical:
