Managing chemical inventory

The Chemical Inventory module allows you to search, track, and manage chemicals across your organisation, with tools for inventory management, TSC testing, receiving orders, and SDS management.
1. Understanding the Chemical Inventory structure
Important: Chemical Inventory requires an active internet connection.
The Chemical Inventory section is divided into two main areas: Inventory (which includes Inventory Management, TSC Testing, and Receiving Orders) and SDS (SDS Management).
2. Searching for chemicals in Inventory Management
You can search for chemicals using multiple criteria including product name, compound, barcode, or CAS number. The system displays recent items in the Recent History section for quick access.
To search for a chemical:
- Enter your search term in the search field.
- Scan a barcode to instantly retrieve the item.
- Tap the + button to add new inventory.
Tip: Use the blue filter button to narrow results by Owner, Location, Code, CAS Number, Manufacturer, or Status.
3. Using chemical card options
Each search result displays a chemical card with multiple action options. You can edit individual chemicals, add them to bulk actions, or access additional functions through the More menu.
To perform actions on a chemical:
- Select Edit to modify the chemical details.
- Select Add to Bulk Actions to include the chemical in batch operations.
- Select More to access additional options.
- Choose Dispose, Dispense, or Transfer from the More menu.
To select multiple chemicals at once, use the Add All to Bulk Actions option to batch-select all visible chemicals in your current search results.
